Assistant Secretary-General participated in the Forum organized by the Arab Federation for Textile Industries under the patronage of HE the Minister of economic development of Egypt and the Secretary-General of the Council of Arabic Economic Unity. The Forum was attended by a crowd of businessmen and investors in addition to Arab and foreign experts in the field. The dialogue focused on the situation and global trends of textile industries and the possibilities for cooperation and coordination on the Arab and international levels to enhance their competitiveness.
The recommendations emphasized the need to support the advancement of this important industrial sector in the region, in particular through the development of human resources, and assistance from the international R&D and cooperation programs.
