AFEI delegation participated in the Arab Private Sector Forum that was held on the sideline of the Arab Economic & Social Summit in order to discuss the social and economic issues which are to be presented to the Summit.
This forum is an important activity that aims at involving the private sector, civil society, and intellectuals in discussing Arab-level economic and social issues with the government officials.
A notable discussion was the speech of Mr.Saniora who listed the major obstacles facing the Arab world development, then asserted the need to move according to paths that would enable the region to cope with changes in the world through: joint work to discover new sources of energy, joint investment in education and curricula development, health sector, investing in the economy of production (i.e. agriculture and industry sectors), and most importantly removing legal and administrative obstacles hindering the cooperation between economies in the Arab countries, and also the flow of Arab and foreign investments.
