In the opening speech, His Excellency Ambassador El-Nay underlined that Arab cooperation and integration is the best path to development and prosperity in the Arab region. He also emphasized the need for all initiatives, decisions and recommendations resulting from the semi-annual meetings of the Arab Federations to be translated into tangible actions on the ground, to meet the needs and aspirations of the Arab citizens in a world in which learning, creativity, innovation and artificial intelligence will prevail. The Secretary-General of the Federation presented a working paper on “Arab engineering industries”. Besides conveying high appreciations to the Federation for preparing the study, organizers of the meeting called for an initiative to unify Arab standards and develop accreditation systems and procedures and welcomed the establishment of a pan-Arab organization for innovation and the fourth industrial revolution. In addition, the organizers called on companies operating in the field of engineering industries to create a web-based platform and a dedicated investment map in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Engineering Industries. |
